The Punjab Police has launched a new citizen reporting mobile application aimed at simplifying public access to law enforcement services, allowing residents to report lost documents and lodge complaints without visiting police stations.
The initiative, part of the province’s broader digital transformation drive, enables users to register and submit reports for missing identity cards, passports, and driving licences directly through their smartphones.
Officials said the application is designed to reduce the burden on police stations while improving efficiency, transparency, and response times. Citizens can complete the reporting process remotely, with requests processed through a centralized digital system.
The platform also facilitates the issuance of digital records, including reports equivalent to First Information Reports (FIRs) for document loss, eliminating the need for lengthy paperwork and physical visits.
