ISLAMABAD
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi to hold the additional charge of Member Legal at the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication for three months.
Qureshi, who currently serves as Chairman of the Social Media Complaint Cell, will hold the additional responsibility alongside his existing position.
According to a notification, Qureshi will be considered to have assumed the charge of Member Legal with effect from August 1, 2026.
The additional assignment is for a period of three months, the notification said.
The move comes as the IT ministry continues to handle legal and regulatory matters linked to Pakistan’s rapidly evolving digital and technology landscape.
