Honor Quietly Launches Turbo 5G With Massive 8,560mAh Battery

ISLAMABAD

Honor has quietly unveiled its new Turbo 5G smartphone, putting battery life at the centre of the device with a huge 8,560mAh battery, while also packing a 120Hz AMOLED display, 5G connectivity and Android 16.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to the device’s official listings.

The standout feature is its 8,560mAh battery, paired with 80W wired charging, positioning the Turbo 5G as a battery-focused option in the mid-range smartphone market. The device also carries an IP69 protection rating against dust and water.

For photography, the phone comes with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 5MP ultrawide lens. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and will be offered in black, green and orange colour options.

The phone has reportedly been listed in Russia at RUB 33,990, equivalent to roughly $411, although pricing and availability in other international markets have not been confirmed.

Honor’s latest device comes as smartphone makers increasingly compete on battery capacity, with larger silicon-carbon batteries becoming a major selling point for users who want longer runtime without frequent charging.

The Turbo 5G’s combination of a large battery, fast charging, high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen and 5G connectivity puts it firmly in the growing category of smartphones designed to offer extended everyday use at a mid-range price point.
