Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch its next-generation foldable flagship, the Vivo X Fold6, later this month, with a significantly larger battery aimed at addressing one of the biggest challenges facing foldable devices.

According to industry leaks, the upcoming handset is expected to feature a battery exceeding 6,000mAh, potentially making it one of the longest-lasting foldable smartphones on the market. The device is also rumored to retain a slim and lightweight design despite the larger power pack.

The X Fold6 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset and could feature upgraded camera hardware, a high-refresh-rate foldable display and faster charging capabilities.

The launch comes as smartphone manufacturers intensify competition in the premium foldable segment, where battery life, durability and portability have become key factors influencing consumer demand.

While Vivo has yet to officially confirm the specifications, industry observers say the X Fold6 could strengthen the company’s position against rivals such as Samsung, Honor and Oppo in the rapidly growing foldable smartphone market.

The device is expected to debut first in China before expanding to selected international markets later this year.
