Gaming smartphone brand RedMagic has officially scheduled the launch of its next flagship device, the RedMagic 11S Pro, as competition in the high-performance Android gaming market intensifies.
The company confirmed that the RedMagic 11S Pro will debut in China on May 18, with teasers highlighting upgraded gaming performance, advanced cooling technology and an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
According to promotional material shared ahead of launch, the device will feature the “Leading Version” of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor — a specially tuned variant capable of reaching higher clock speeds than standard flagship implementations. RedMagic claims the chip undergoes multiple rounds of stress testing before qualifying for the enhanced performance profile.
The launch positions RedMagic directly against rival gaming-focused brands including Asus ROG, Lenovo Legion and Black Shark, as smartphone makers increasingly target mobile gamers demanding console-like performance on handheld devices.
Leaks and certification listings suggest the RedMagic 11S Pro could feature a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate, paired with up to 24GB RAM and as much as 1TB of internal storage. Reports also point toward a massive battery potentially reaching 8,000mAh, alongside ultra-fast charging support.
RedMagic has built its reputation around aggressive thermal management systems, and the upcoming flagship is expected to continue that strategy with active cooling technology combining vapor chambers, internal fans and liquid-cooling elements aimed at sustaining gaming performance under heavy loads.
The company also claims the phone will support gameplay at up to 2K resolution and 144 frames per second across more than 200 supported titles, reflecting the growing emphasis on high-refresh competitive mobile gaming.
Alongside the smartphone, RedMagic is also expected to unveil its Gaming Tablet 5 Pro during the same launch event. The tablet is rumored to feature a compact 9-inch OLED display with an unusually high 185Hz refresh rate, making it one of the fastest gaming tablets announced so far.
While official global availability remains unclear, industry observers expect the RedMagic 11S Pro to eventually launch in international markets, including South Asia, where demand for gaming smartphones continues to rise among mobile esports players and performance enthusiasts.
