NEW DELHI: Realme has confirmed the launch of its P4s 5G smartphone in India on August 26, bringing an unusually large 8,000mAh battery to the mid-range segment as smartphone makers continue to compete on battery life and performance.

The Realme P4s 5G will be unveiled at noon on August 26, with the company positioning the handset around battery endurance, display quality and gaming performance.

8,000mAh Battery and 80W Charging

The biggest headline feature is the phone’s 8,000mAh battery, paired with 80W wired charging. The large battery is designed to provide extended usage for gaming, video streaming, social media and mobile data without frequent charging.

Realme has also equipped the phone with a 7,000mm² vapour chamber aimed at controlling heat during demanding workloads.

144Hz Samsung OLED Display

The P4s 5G will feature a Samsung M14 OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother animations and scrolling than conventional 60Hz panels.

The screen will also support HDR10+ and is rated for peak brightness of up to 6,500 nits, according to the specifications released ahead of the launch.

Dimensity 7400 Ultra Powers the Phone

Under the hood, Realme has confirmed the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, accompanied by a HyperVision+ AI co-processor.

The phone will feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation, alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.

IP69 Protection Adds Durability

The Realme P4s 5G will also carry an IP69 rating, giving it protection against dust and high-pressure, high-temperature water jets — a feature that remains relatively uncommon in the mid-range smartphone market.

Realme has yet to disclose the phone’s price, RAM and storage configurations. Its availability outside India also remains unclear.

With an 8,000mAh battery, 80W charging, a 144Hz OLED display and a Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, the P4s 5G is shaping up as an aggressive new contender in the mid-range smartphone market.
