Jazz Welcomes 5G Activation on iPhones, Signals Broader Push for Pakistan’s Digital Future
ISLAMABAD
Jazz World Chief Executive Officer Aamir Ibrahim has welcomed the official launch of 5G services on iPhones in Pakistan, describing the development as a major milestone for the country’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
In a statement, Ibrahim said the availability of 5G on Apple devices reflects growing alignment between policy reforms, spectrum readiness and device compatibility, paving the way for next-generation digital connectivity in Pakistan.
“5G represents an important advancement for Pakistan’s digital ecosystem,” Ibrahim said, adding that the progress was made possible through the efforts of Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
He said the latest development demonstrates increasing coordination between regulators, telecom operators and technology providers as Pakistan prepares for wider adoption of advanced mobile broadband services.
The Jazz World CEO also announced that the company would continue expanding its 5G infrastructure in a phased and structured manner aligned with ecosystem maturity and evolving consumer demand.
“Deployment of 5G services will continue gradually and systematically in line with ecosystem readiness and user requirements,” Ibrahim said.
Industry analysts say the activation of 5G compatibility on iPhones marks an important signal for Pakistan’s telecom sector, where operators are intensifying preparations for future commercial rollout of ultra-fast mobile internet services.
The development comes amid broader efforts by the government and telecom industry to modernise digital infrastructure, improve connectivity and accelerate Pakistan’s transition towards a technology-driven economy.
