HMD has introduced the Nokia 300 Charge, a feature phone that combines the familiar physical-keypad design of classic Nokia handsets with a remarkably large 3,700mAh battery.

The phone is aimed at users looking for long battery life rather than smartphone-style apps and features. Its removable battery can provide up to 37 hours of talk time and more than 40 days of standby, according to HMD.

The Nokia 300 Charge also supports 10W wired charging and 10W reverse charging, allowing users to use the handset as a basic power source for other compatible devices.

The device features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, USB-C connectivity, dual Mini-SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, MP3 player and expandable storage through a microSD card.

A large LED torch is another key feature, while the phone runs on a simple S30+ operating system designed for basic communication and everyday functions rather than smartphone applications.

The handset weighs about 138 grams and is powered by a Unisoc SC6531E chipset with 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage.

The Nokia 300 Charge comes as demand for simpler phones with extended battery life continues to occupy a niche alongside increasingly powerful smartphones.

Its combination of a classic keypad, huge battery and reverse-charging capability gives the feature phone a modern twist — turning a traditional backup handset into a potential emergency power bank.
