TikTok removed more than 22.5 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2026 for violating its Community Guidelines, underscoring the platform’s intensified efforts to strengthen content moderation and online safety.
According to TikTok’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, 22,523,535 videos were taken down between January and March 2026, representing 8% of all videos uploaded in Pakistan during the period.
The report said 99.6% of the violating content was detected and removed proactively before being reported by users, while 95.5% of the videos were removed within 24 hours of being posted. Around 690,557 videos were later restored following further review.
Globally, TikTok removed 184 million videos during the quarter for violating platform policies, with the majority detected through automated moderation systems.
The company also deleted more than 86.2 million fake accounts worldwide and removed over 25.7 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13 as part of its safety enforcement efforts.
TikTok said the largest share of removed content involved sensitive or mature themes, safety and civility violations, dangerous activities, and sexually explicit content, while a smaller proportion was labelled as AI-generated or manipulated media.
The quarterly transparency report reflects TikTok’s ongoing efforts to improve platform integrity through stricter content moderation, proactive enforcement and enhanced user safety measures worldwide.
