Google has claimed its cybersecurity experts successfully blocked a highly sophisticated cyberattack allegedly designed using artificial intelligence, raising fresh concerns over the growing use of AI by hackers worldwide.
According to the company’s threat intelligence team, attackers attempted to exploit a dangerous “zero-day shortcut” capable of bypassing conventional security systems while remaining undetected by standard cybersecurity tools.
Google warned that AI-driven cyberattacks are rapidly increasing, with reports suggesting automated AI bot attacks have surged dramatically over the past year.
The development highlights the escalating global cyber warfare race, where tech giants are strengthening AI-based defenses while hackers increasingly weaponize the same technology for advanced digital attacks.
