Register in a Click: Islamabad Unveils Online Factory & Shop System

ISLAMABAD

The federal capital has launched an online system for registering factories and shops, marking a new push toward digital governance and faster business facilitation.

The initiative, introduced by the ICT Administration Islamabad in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board, aims to eliminate paperwork and reduce delays in business registration by shifting the entire process to a digital platform.

Officials said the new system will allow entrepreneurs to register establishments online, track applications in real time, and complete compliance requirements without visiting government offices. The reform is designed to improve transparency and streamline regulatory procedures in the capital’s business environment.

Alongside registration, authorities have also introduced a digital labor inspection system to monitor workplace compliance and automate inspections, further tightening oversight while reducing manual processes.

The move is part of broader efforts to improve the ease of doing business in Islamabad and strengthen digital governance through integrated e-services.

Officials say the system is expected to cut processing times significantly, enhance regulatory efficiency, and support a more formalized and transparent business ecosystem in the city.
