Peshawar Launches Fully Digital Driving Licence Centre with One-Window Service

A state-of-the-art digitalised driving licence branch has been inaugurated in Peshawar, offering citizens a streamlined, one-window solution for all licensing services.

The facility was formally opened by Zulfiqar Hameed at the Traffic Headquarters, marking a step toward modernising public service delivery in the province.

One Roof, All Services

The newly established centre enables applicants to complete the entire licensing process — including tests, fee payments, photographs and documentation — within a single building.

Officials said the initiative eliminates the need for citizens to visit multiple offices, significantly reducing time, effort and administrative hurdles.

Focus on Efficiency and Transparency

Speaking at the inauguration, the inspector general emphasised that simplifying the licensing process while ensuring transparency and speed remains a top priority.

“Our mission is to encourage responsible, law-abiding drivers and ensure road safety,” he said, highlighting the broader objective of improving compliance and traffic discipline.

A Shift Toward Digital Governance

The digitalised branch reflects a growing trend toward technology-driven governance, aimed at enhancing efficiency, accountability and citizen convenience.

Authorities say such initiatives are part of wider reforms to modernise service delivery systems and improve the overall public experience in key administrative processes.
