Real-time digital tracking aims to boost transparency, curb absenteeism, and strengthen monitoring across public schools

The Punjab government has made online attendance mandatory in all public sector schools, marking a significant step toward digitising the province’s education system and improving oversight.

Under the new directive, teachers and school administrations are required to record daily attendance through a centralized digital system, enabling real-time monitoring by education authorities.
