5G Auction Concludes Key Bidding for 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz Bands

The second phase of Pakistan’s 5G spectrum auction has been completed, with telecom operators placing bids for the 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz bands, officials said on Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), bidding for the 2600 MHz band positioning concluded after three rounds, while the 3500 MHz band required five rounds amid continued competition among operators.

Officials confirmed that telecom companies participated actively to secure preferred spectrum slots, which are considered critical for future 5G network performance and rollout planning.

The final results for the positioning of both bands are expected to be announced shortly, marking another major step toward the launch of 5G services in Pakistan.
