Pakistan has developed a new cybersecurity tool aimed at countering cyber attacks allegedly originating from foreign sources, including India and Israel, according to official sources.
The system, described as an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) antivirus, has been deployed across government computer networks to strengthen protection against hacking attempts and cyber intrusions.
Officials said the technology is designed to monitor devices, detect suspicious activity, and respond to potential threats in real time, helping authorities prevent unauthorized access to sensitive government systems.
Sources added that the EDR system has already been installed on government computers, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s efforts to enhance national cybersecurity infrastructure.
Cybersecurity experts note that endpoint detection systems play a crucial role in identifying advanced threats, malware activity, and unauthorized network access, particularly in government and critical infrastructure environments.
Authorities say the initiative is part of broader efforts to improve digital security and safeguard government data as cyber threats continue to grow globally.
