PTA Releases Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report in Collaboration with Opensignal

ISLAMABAD

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with global crowdsourcing platform Opensignal, has released its latest Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report, offering a comprehensive, data-driven analysis of mobile service quality across the country.

According to the press release, Opensignal measures users’ Quality of Experience (QoE) using real-time data collected from consumers throughout the day. The methodology captures network performance in both indoor and outdoor locations, during peak and off-peak hours, and while users are engaged in activities such as video streaming, voice calls, and app usage.

The PTA said the report provides an in-depth assessment of mobile network performance and the quality of services delivered to consumers nationwide. The benchmarking study aims to enhance transparency and help improve overall telecom standards in Pakistan.

Unlike traditional speed tests, the Opensignal model focuses on actual user experience, reflecting real-world conditions faced by subscribers across various regions.

The authority stated that the report is part of its ongoing efforts to monitor service quality and ensure better connectivity for mobile users in Pakistan.

The full report is available on the PTA’s official website.
