Samsung has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series. The tech giant confirmed that its new flagship smartphones will be revealed on February 25 at a special Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. Fans worldwide can watch the event live on Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel.
The upcoming series is expected to feature three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung has already opened pre-reservations, allowing customers to secure early access to the new devices by paying a small fee on the official website.
While the official launch is still some days away, many details about the new phones have already surfaced.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are largely expected to be powered by the Exynos 2600 chip in most regions. Both phones will likely keep the same screen sizes as their current versions and come with 12GB of RAM. The standard Galaxy S26 is expected to have a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26+ will likely feature a 4,900mAh battery, similar to the S25+. Reports suggest that the main camera hardware on these two models will remain unchanged.
However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra promises more significant upgrades. It is set to feature a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, designed specifically for Galaxy devices. This premium model will pack a larger 5,000mAh battery and support fast charging, with up to 60W wired and 25W wireless charging capabilities. Although camera resolutions might stay the same, the Ultra’s lenses could have wider openings to capture more light, improving photo quality.
