Islamabad:

Pakistan’s leading logistics conglomerate TCS Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan’s global logistics giant Nippon Express Group, in a move aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s supply chain infrastructure and expanding trade connectivity with international markets.

Under the agreement, Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania) Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Nippon Express Holdings, Inc., has acquired a minority stake in TCS Logistics (Private) Limited, marking a significant foreign investment in Pakistan’s logistics sector.

Strengthening Global Trade Links

Industry analysts say the partnership is expected to enhance Pakistan’s access to global markets by combining Nippon Express Group’s extensive international logistics network with TCS Logistics’ nationwide operational footprint and customer base.

Officials noted that the collaboration will improve supply chain solutions for Pakistani businesses, facilitating smoother imports and exports while strengthening trade corridors connecting Pakistan with regional and global markets.

Confidence in Pakistan’s Logistics Sector

“This partnership with Nippon Express reflects growing international confidence in Pakistan’s market fundamentals and strengthens our ability to deliver world-class supply chain solutions connecting Pakistani businesses to the global economy,” she said.

Expanding Logistics Capabilities

TCS Logistics, the core logistics arm of TCS Group, operates a wide domestic network covering land transportation, warehousing, distribution, and cross-border logistics services. The company plans to utilise the partnership to modernise Pakistan’s logistics ecosystem through technology-enabled solutions and value-added supply chain services.

Meanwhile, Nippon Express Group said the collaboration will enable it to leverage TCS Logistics’ domestic network to expand operations in Pakistan and explore new logistics opportunities, particularly in developing trade routes linking Pakistan to Central Asian markets.

Global Logistics Expertise

The Nippon Express Group operates in more than 50 countries and regions worldwide, offering comprehensive logistics services including air and ocean freight, land transportation, warehousing, supply chain management, and specialised logistics solutions.

Boost for Foreign Investment and Trade
