UBL Introduces AI Voice Command Banking in Pakistan, Powered by Fortanixor Technologies

United Bank Limited (UBL) has launched a new AI-powered Voice Command feature in its UBL Digital App, allowing customers to perform everyday banking tasks simply by speaking. The move marks a significant step toward hands-free, conversation-led digital banking in Pakistan.

The feature enables users to transfer funds, pay bills, top up mobile balances, and check account statements using voice commands. By tapping the microphone icon in the app, customers can speak their requests and confirm the details to complete transactions.

A standout aspect of the system is dual-language support, allowing commands in both English and Urdu, with on-screen confirmations displayed in the same language as the spoken instruction. UBL said the feature is designed to provide a fast, intuitive, and accessible banking experience, particularly benefiting seniors, first-time digital users, and customers with visual or literacy challenges.

Powered by Fortanixor Technologies, the Voice Command feature is part of UBL’s broader digital interaction stack and represents one of the first localized voice-led banking solutions in the country.

UBL emphasized that customer verification remains a key step at the final confirmation stage, ensuring security alongside convenience. The bank said the launch reflects a broader industry trend toward conversation-led, AI-driven digital banking, making it easier for users to bank on the go.

Customers can access the Voice Command feature through the UBL Digital App, with detailed guidance provided within the app for first-time users.
