Pakistan Invites Nationwide Partners to Strengthen Indus AI Week Under Digital Pakistan Drive

Islamabad :

Pakistan has launched a nationwide call for partners to contribute events under the umbrella of Indus AI Week, as part of broader efforts to advance the country’s Digital Pakistan agenda and position artificial intelligence as a key pillar of economic and technological growth.

According to officials, the initiative aims to bring universities, technology hubs, corporate innovators and community leaders on board to host workshops, policy dialogues and knowledge-sharing sessions aligned with Indus AI Week. The move is intended to create a unified national platform for AI-focused collaboration rather than a single, centralised event.

The organisers said partner-led events will play a critical role in shaping Pakistan’s emerging AI roadmap by connecting policymakers, researchers, startups and industry experts from across the country. By expanding participation beyond major urban centres, the initiative seeks to promote inclusive digital development and strengthen local innovation ecosystems.

Backed by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Indus AI Week is being positioned as one of the country’s largest coordinated AI engagements. Officials noted that partners will gain national visibility, direct access to AI experts and a voice in discussions influencing future AI policy and implementation.

The call for partners comes at a time when the government is accelerating reforms under the Digital Pakistan vision, with artificial intelligence identified as a strategic tool for boosting productivity, improving governance and driving export-oriented growth in the IT sector.

Registration to host partner events has been opened through the official Indus AI platform, indusai.gov.pk , with organisers encouraging participation from academia, the private sector and grassroots technology communities.

Analysts say initiatives like Indus AI Week could help Pakistan bridge skills gaps and align innovation with policy, provided momentum is sustained through meaningful public-private collaboration and long-term investment in digital infrastructure.
