Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming Galaxy S26 series will not include Edge or Pro variants, putting to rest speculation that the company might overhaul its flagship naming strategy this year.
The clarification comes from a promotional document published by Samsung Colombia ahead of the Galaxy S26 Unpacked event. The document lists only three devices in the series: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. There is no reference to a Galaxy S26 Edge or a Galaxy S26 Pro, reinforcing earlier reports that Samsung has chosen to stick with its traditional three-model flagship lineup.
The confirmation suggests that Samsung will not replace the Plus model with an Edge version, nor will it rebrand the base Galaxy S26 as a Pro model — a move some analysts had expected as part of a broader repositioning of its premium smartphones.
That said, Samsung has not entirely ruled out the possibility of an Edge variant at a later stage. While the document indicates that no Edge or Pro models will launch alongside the main Galaxy S26 series, it leaves open the door for a delayed release of a Galaxy S26 Edge. At present, however, there is no indication that a Pro model is in development.
Industry watchers note that Samsung may be cautious about reviving the Edge branding after modest sales performance of its most recent slim-edge device. Any future attempt to reintroduce the form factor would likely require clear differentiation and stronger consumer appeal.
For now, Samsung appears focused on refining its core flagship strategy, centring the Galaxy S26 lineup around three clearly defined tiers aimed at covering the mainstream, premium, and ultra-premium segments of the market.
