Islamabad, January 20, 2026 —
Zong, Pakistan’s leading information services and technology innovation company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to improve citizen access to telecom services through e-Khidmat Maraakaz across Punjab.
Under the agreement, Zong will establish Customer Facilitation Desks at 15 divisional and district-level e-Khidmat centres, aimed at enhancing service outreach and streamlining customer interactions. The initiative aligns with PITB’s mandate to deliver integrated public services through technology-enabled platforms and supports the broader Digital Pakistan agenda.
The facilitation desks will provide walk-in support for essential services, including SIM issuance and replacement, basic account assistance, recharge and bill payment guidance, and information on Zong’s products, packages, and customer services. The move is intended to assist citizens who require in-person support or face challenges in accessing digital channels, promoting a more inclusive model of public service delivery.
Citizens can access details of all e-Khidmat centres across Punjab through PITB’s official website.
Commenting on the collaboration, Faheem Khan Durrani, Executive Director Sales and Distribution at Zong, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to citizen-centric service delivery through effective public–private collaboration. He added that the presence of Zong’s facilitation desks at e-Khidmat Maraakaz would enable seamless customer support while contributing to the Government of Punjab’s digital transformation goals.
Both Zong and PITB said they would work closely to ensure smooth implementation, monitoring, and operational management of the initiative, reinforcing provincial digital governance efforts and the national vision of technology-driven, citizen-focused development.
