Zong has expanded its 5G network to 27 key locations across Islamabad, marking steady progress toward wider next-generation connectivity in Pakistan.

The newly activated sites span major commercial hubs, public institutions, and high-traffic zones, including business districts, shopping centres, and government facilities, reflecting the operator’s focus on areas with dense user demand.

Key locations now covered include major sectors such as F-10, F-11, and Blue Area, along with prominent landmarks like Centaurus Mall, Islamabad International Airport, and the Diplomatic Enclave.

The rollout also extends to critical government and institutional sites, including the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority headquarters, Parliament Lodges, and the Supreme Court, underscoring efforts to ensure reliable high-speed connectivity in strategic zones.

Industry observers say the expansion signals increasing momentum in Pakistan’s 5G journey, as telecom operators begin transitioning from trials to real-world deployments.

While the coverage remains limited for now, the growing footprint suggests a broader commercial launch may be on the horizon, promising faster speeds and improved network performance for users in the capital.
