The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has rolled out an online complaint tracking system aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in handling cases registered through its 15 emergency helplines.
The initiative enables citizens to monitor the progress of their complaints round-the-clock, marking a significant step toward improving public service delivery and digital governance in the province.
Under the new system, complainants registering a First Information Report (FIR) receive a WhatsApp notification containing a download link, an electronic tag (e-tag) number and other relevant case details. Users are also issued login credentials, allowing them to access the portal and track the status of their applications at any time.
The platform further allows citizens to download a copy of their FIR from home and submit feedback online, streamlining the complaint process and reducing the need for physical visits to police stations.
In a key integration, the PSCA has linked the system with the Virtual Women’s Police Station, providing women with remote legal guidance and follow-up support. Through a post-FIR follow-up mechanism, officials remain in continuous contact with affected women to ensure assistance and protection.
Citizens can track their complaint status through the PSCA feedback portal, while access to the Virtual Women’s Police Station is available by dialing 15 and pressing 2.
The move underscores the authority’s broader push to leverage technology to strengthen public safety and service responsiveness across Punjab.
