PTCL to Unveil Industry-First AI Use Cases at Indus AI Week 2026

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is set to showcase a series of industry-first, artificial intelligence–driven use cases at Indus AI Week 2026, positioning itself at the center of Pakistan’s fast-emerging AI landscape and signalling a broader shift from traditional telecom services to advanced, AI-enabled digital solutions.

Indus AI Week 2026, billed as Pakistan’s national platform for artificial intelligence, brings together policymakers, technology leaders, startups and academia to shape the country’s AI roadmap. PTCL’s participation is expected to add a strong industry perspective, highlighting how AI can be deployed at scale to deliver tangible economic and social impact.

At the event, PTCL will present its transformation into an AI-enabled technology company, backed by the global innovation expertise of e&, its majority shareholder. The company says this collaboration is enabling the responsible, scalable and locally relevant adoption of AI across Pakistan’s digital ecosystem, at a time when demand for advanced computing and data-driven services is accelerating.

A key highlight of PTCL’s presence will be an on-ground industry showcase featuring eight AI-driven use cases. These include four solutions powered by e&, three developed under PTCL Business Solutions, and one accessibility-focused AI application by ConnectHear. Together, the demonstrations are designed to reflect real-world AI deployment across operational efficiency, enterprise services and inclusive digital access.

PTCL officials say the showcased use cases are not experimental concepts but practical applications aimed at solving operational challenges, enhancing customer experience and expanding access to digital services. The inclusion of an accessibility-focused solution underscores the growing emphasis on inclusive technology as Pakistan pushes ahead with its digital transformation agenda.

In parallel, PTCL is actively investing in Pakistan’s latest AI infrastructure, including high-performance graphics processing unit (GPU) capabilities. These investments are intended to strengthen the country’s AI stack by supporting advanced computing, large-scale data processing and next-generation AI workloads, which are increasingly seen as critical enablers for sectors ranging from finance and healthcare to agriculture and smart cities.

As part of the AI Summit at Indus AI Week, Hatem Bamatraf, President and Chief Executive Officer of PTCL and Ufone, will deliver a keynote address focused on translating AI ambition into measurable national impact. His address is expected to underline the role of industry in complementing government efforts to build a sustainable, innovation-driven digital economy.

PTCL’s participation comes amid growing policy focus on artificial intelligence as a driver of productivity, competitiveness and economic growth in Pakistan. By aligning its strategy with national priorities, the company aims to play a catalytic role in strengthening digital foundations and enabling AI adoption at scale.

The company said its engagement at Indus AI Week reflects a long-term commitment to supporting the Government of Pakistan and the broader AI ecosystem, not only through infrastructure investment but also by contributing practical insights into how AI can be deployed responsibly to support economic development and inclusive growth.
