Pakistan’s Digital Youth Hub (DYH) has crossed a major milestone, registering more than 712,000 users nationwide since its launch in March 2025 and emerging as a central digital gateway for youth seeking education, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Launched on March 26, 2025, the AI-enabled platform connects young Pakistanis to more than 93,000 domestic job openings and around 100,000 international opportunities through a single digital interface, according to official data.
Developed as a one-stop platform under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), the Digital Youth Hub is a joint initiative with UNICEF as a strategic partner, PMYP as the executing agency and the National Information Technology Board (NITB) as the technical lead. NITB has built the core web portal and mobile application, allowing users to track job, scholarship and loan applications through integrated dashboards.
The platform features AI-powered tools that provide real-time data insights and personalised dashboards for students, employers and scholarship providers. As the technology partner, NITB also manages system automation, including integration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme and the National Jobs Portal. A centralised dashboard is used to monitor outreach, uptake and performance across youth-focused programmes.
Structured around the “4Es” framework — Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Engagement & Environment — the hub offers access to scholarships, online courses, internships, verified job listings and business financing ranging from Rs500,000 to Rs7.5 million. It also facilitates volunteer placements through the National Volunteer Corps, sports initiatives under Talent Hunt programmes and environmental participation via the Green Youth Movement.
Pakistan’s youth population remains one of its biggest demographic strengths. Official figures show nearly 170 million people, about 70 percent of the population, are under the age of 30. Since its launch in 2013 and subsequent modernisation, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has supported more than 1.5 million young people through merit-based initiatives.
Officials say the Digital Youth Hub is designed to further expand transparent and nationwide access to opportunities, positioning technology as a key enabler in harnessing Pakistan’s demographic dividend.
