Pakistan Highlights Inclusive Digital Growth at Digital Cooperation Organization Assembly

Federal Minister for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, represented Pakistan at the inaugural session of the 5th General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), emphasizing the importance of ethical, inclusive, and secure digital development.

Addressing the assembly, Minister Khawaja highlighted the opportunities and responsibilities arising from emerging technologies, underlining the critical role of strong governance and cybersecurity in shaping the digital future. “Digital transformation thrives when nations collaborate with a common purpose. Through mutual cooperation, we can make digital change truly impactful,” Khawaja said, emphasizing the need for shared goals in digital collaboration.

The minister also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment as a founding member of the DCO, citing the country’s active role in fostering global digital partnerships. She expressed confidence in a shared and prosperous digital future, noting that the DCO platform provides a critical avenue for promoting international digital cooperation.
