Lahore, January 19, 2026

Pakistan’s largest technology exhibition, ITCN Asia 2026, concluded at the Expo Centre Lahore with organisers projecting an economic impact of more than $750 million, underscoring the expanding role of the digital economy in the country’s growth strategy.

Now in its 27th edition, the three-day event brought together key players from Pakistan’s technology ecosystem alongside international firms, investors and policymakers. Organisers said the exhibition facilitated cross-border collaboration, joint ventures and multimillion-dollar business deals, reflecting rising investor confidence in Pakistan’s technology and innovation landscape.

Held under the patronage of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) with strategic support from the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA), ITCN Asia 2026 was organised by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, with Tech Destination Pakistan as the presenting partner. The event featured more than 800 exhibition stalls and drew over 75,000 visitors, including foreign delegates and global business leaders.

Several agreements signed during the exhibition highlighted the growing emphasis on digital infrastructure as a driver of economic inclusion. A memorandum of understanding between the Gilgit-Baltistan Software House Association and Premier Cables aims to enhance connectivity and strengthen digital infrastructure in remote regions, supporting long-term socio-economic development. Another MoU, signed between China’s IBI International Group and Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, focuses on technology transfer, increased foreign investment, trade expansion and job creation within Pakistan’s technology and industrial sectors.

A key feature of the event was the Global CISO Summit, which attracted cybersecurity leaders from more than 50 countries. Led by Dr Erdal Ozkaya, President of the Global CISO Forum, and Global Advisor Syed Abdul Qadir, the summit brought together over 500 senior executives, policymakers and technology experts, reinforcing Pakistan’s focus on digital resilience and secure digital transformation.

Commenting on the conclusion of the event, Umair Nizam, Group Director at Ecommerce Gateway Group, said ITCN Asia 2026 had once again demonstrated Pakistan’s potential as a competitive technology destination. “The strong international participation and projected $750 million economic impact underline the growing importance of the digital economy in driving investment, employment and sustainable growth,” he said.

More than 3,500 global and regional brands, including Google Chromebook, Samsung, Huawei eKit, Resecurity and Corning, participated alongside Pakistani startups and technology firms. The exhibition showcased solutions across cloud computing, artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, health tech, edtech and e-commerce — sectors increasingly seen as central to Pakistan’s export growth and digital transformation.

Industry participants said ITCN Asia 2026 served as a strategic platform linking investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers, positioning Pakistan as an emerging hub for technology-led growth, outsourcing and innovation-driven partnerships within the global digital economy.
