Google Launches AI Professional Certificate in Pakistan to Bridge Skills Gap

Google has unveiled its AI Professional Certificate in Pakistan, a new industry-validated credential aimed at addressing the growing shortage of AI-skilled professionals. The program focuses on hands-on, practical training, enabling workers to integrate artificial intelligence into their everyday workflows.

The launch comes amid a widening AI skills gap. Research by Google and Ipsos shows that while 70% of managers view AI-trained employees as essential, only 14% of workers have received formal AI training. The certificate aims to close this divide by equipping professionals with real-world AI fluency.

“Learn by Doing” Approach
The program features over 20 interactive exercises and includes three months of free access to Google AI Pro, allowing participants to experiment with Google’s advanced AI tools, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Gemini in Google Sheets.

The certificate consists of six courses and a final capstone project, covering:

• AI for Data Analysis: Create complex formulas and visualizations using Gemini.
• Capstone – AI for App Building: Build functional apps without coding through “vibe coding.”

Designed for busy professionals, the program can be completed at the learner’s own pace in under 10 hours, with each module providing a shareable digital certificate for LinkedIn.
