Islamabad:
Pakistan’s 5G spectrum auction entered a decisive stage as the second round of the assignment phase concluded at the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday.
Officials said all three telecom operators participated in bidding for the positioning of the 2600 MHz spectrum, with competition continuing among the companies during the process.
Following the completion of bidding for the 2600 MHz band positioning, operators have now selected their respective spectrum slots. PTA officials confirmed that the next round for the 3500 MHz band positioning will begin at 12:30 pm.
The regulator added that the final results for both the 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz spectrum positioning will be announced together after the process concludes, marking another step toward Pakistan’s anticipated 5G rollout. 📡
