The second phase of Pakistan’s 5G spectrum auction is progressing rapidly, with the bidding process for the 3500 MHz band, a critical frequency for mobile networks, now in its fifth round.
Officials said competition among telecom operators remains intense, as companies seek prime positions within the 3500 MHz band to optimize network performance. During the fourth round, all three telecom operators retained their positions, signaling continued strategic interest in this vital spectrum.
The 3500 MHz band is considered essential for high-speed 5G rollout, making the ongoing bidding process a pivotal step toward Pakistan’s next-generation connectivity. Officials emphasized that the auction remains closely monitored to ensure transparent and fair competition among all participants.
